Singapore racing against the clock for the F1 race

Here are some pictures that will no doubt go down in history as early snap shots, for prosterity, of either one of Singapore's biggest failures like volcano land or one of Singapore's biggest successes like CHILLI CRAB.

These are the supports atop which the high voltage white flood lights are perched.

Here's how the lights are fixed to cross beams between supports.

The picture on the left shows the top of the fencing that separates the track area from the sidestands.

These pictures are closeups of the light fixtures.

I came across plastic shelter sections resting along the field, next to the fence. Perhaps it will be used to shelter spectators.

Pictures of the concrete weights keeping the light fixture stands anchored to the ground.

The stands are placed in the gaps, within the metal rings of the concrete barriers.

This is what the fence looks like.

Workers positioning the lights.

The victoria concert hall, old supreme court, Central Business District skyline....
All sights which will wittness the first night race.

The very road that will have F1 race cars careening across its tarmac.
