Rotax Max Challenge - Rotax "MAX" Engine
Introducing the tools:
The RoTAX "MAX" engine is a 2 stroke, liquid cooled 125 cc engine. It has a balance shaft, integrated water pump, electric starter and centrifugal clutch.
The integration of the onboard electric started with the centrifugal clutch greatly simplifies the engine, allowing it to run more economically in a concept called Touch and Go (TaG). This design uses just 2% engine oil and is renouned for durability as well as ease of operation. The balance shaft which, is an eccentric weighted shaft, counters vibrations in the engine that are not balanced, thus giving a smoother ride.
